About the E-Library

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE E-LIBRARY:

JSHS library is being transformed into an Electronic Library in 2004, a dream that is now becoming a reality.  It was originally located at the ground floor, after the library was devastated by typhoon Ondoy, the library was transferred to second floor of the new SB building.

Reconstruction and rebuilding of the first E-Library of Quezon City is a great challenge to the librarians and administrators of the school, we have to regain the established name of the school.

New books needed to display in built-in cabinets, magazine, and newspapers to motivate students to read.

E-Library makes cataloguing and classifying fast and easy.  Students can search the website of the Library of Congress.  It provides access to current, up-to-date and unlimited source of information by the use of an appropriate Integrated Library Information System, Internet facility, and CD ROM bibliographic and full text databases.

This new educational technology came into fruition through the concerted efforts of the supportive Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Meleda H. Polita, the librarians, parents and NGOs under the leadership of the proactive principal, Dr. Maria Noemi M. Moncada.

Dr. Victoria Q. Fuentes, Q.C. schools division superintendent supports the E-library.
